While there, he led the effort to grow the Foundation's assets by more than tenfold and worked with local philanthropists, elected officials and other community leaders to address a variety of opportunities and challenges linked to the rapid growth of Colorado's Front Range. Ray's passion has been working with boards, committees and community groups to make good things happen. His work focuses on the dynamics of healthy organizations with particular emphasis on boards and effective governance. Ray is an avid outdoorsman and lives in the mountains west of Fort Collins. He and his wife, Mary, have two adult sons, one an Air Force officer, and the other an officer with the Space Force.
